Respite Care
You take care of everyone. Let someone take care of things for a while.
What respite care looks like with us
Caring for a parent or spouse is an act of love, and it is exhausting. Burnout is real, and it does not help anyone.
Respite care gives you time to work, run errands, sleep, see a doctor of your own or simply breathe, knowing your loved one is in steady hands.
Included
- Scheduled breaks a few hours a week
- Cover while you work, travel or recover
- All the personal care and companionship your loved one is used to
- Meals, medication reminders and light housekeeping during the visit
- A written or phone update when you return
Same faces, less worry
Wherever possible we keep the same caregiver for regular respite visits, so your loved one gets to know them and you can leave with confidence.
Rest is part of caregiving
Taking a break is not giving up. Families who get regular respite tend to keep caring at home longer and more happily.
A good fit for
Who this helps most
- Adult children caring for a parent at home
- Spouses who are the main caregiver
- Families covering a gap between other arrangements
- Anyone who has not had a real break in months
FAQ
Common questions
01 How much notice do you need for respite?
More notice makes scheduling easier, but call us any time and we will tell you what we can do.
02 Can respite be overnight?
Ask us about overnight or longer stretches of cover when you call. We will be honest about what we can staff.
03 Will my loved one meet the caregiver first?
We encourage an introduction before the first respite visit whenever possible, so nobody is meeting a stranger at the door.
Other ways we help
- Personal Care Respectful, hands-on help with bathing, dressing, grooming and moving safely around the house.
- Companionship Conversation, card games, walks and a friendly face, so days at home are not spent alone.
- Homemaking & Meals Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and reminders that keep the household running.
